my grandmother used them to make a footstool. she taped the top and bottom of the cans together, then traced the outline of the bottom on cardboard. Using upholstery fabric she cut bottom allowing for seams, then did the same for the top. Cutting a strip for the middle and sewing the three pieces together allowing enough space to insert the cans. Using cotton batting to pad the top, and hand sewing the open space with carpet thread. I've had mine for many years and everyone wants one. Good luck!

Spray paint cans and paint Santa face on each. Attach Dollar Store Christmas hats. Same for snowmen. You can stack the Santa or snowmen 2-3 high. You can also nail punch designs in cans (https://www.pinterest.com/pin/383017143281998343/) add battery operated tea lights and use on porch or inside. Good luck and have fun.

Hello, I saw someone post that the coffee cans they had was that they cleaned them and spray painted them and you might have to spray paint them twice for whatever color season and then painted either faces, or Fall on each can, and when I did it I put the rope on the top and bottom of the can and set them out with what season flowers I wanted in them. For fall, thanksgiving, spring and Christmas. Like I said I saw a post on the coffee cans and tried it and they look great!. Good Luck with your project.
Fill a few of the tins with water and freeze until solid. In the meantime, find a stencil you like and print off to place on the side of the tin or you can do freehand deco. Using either an ice pick or large heavy nail with a hammer and pierce the tins. Stabilize the can while doing this by laying on a soft towel so it won’t roll. I use the hub’s workbench fitted with an adjustable vise.
If they are tin, put two together with end cut out of one and both ends out of the other. Hot glue top edge of one on botton and put the open one on top. You can also tape with strong tape to make sure will stay together. I then used a large hand towel (choice of color) and hot glued around it. Take the bottom tin you cut out of the top can, cut strong cardboard (a little larger for tape or glue) on both sides of tin, seal with tape or hot glue. Cover this with terry cloth also. You can add silk flower and leaves of you choice to top or can put a drawer pull by making hole in middle of tin and punching hole through both sides of cardboard. When you are complete put toilet tissue in container and place in bathroom. I love mine!
