If washable in Washing Machine or Take to Launderette where they may have a Dry Cleaning Machine...........
In a large washer at the laundromat.
Not sure what you are asking.
Define "huge" - everyone has a different interpretation. All but one room in my house has washable window treatments. I just wash in the washing machine on cold, vinegar rinse, air fluff to dry with felted wool dryer balls, iron if need and rehang. Be careful not to overcrowded machine - that will cause wrinkles.
Hi Bob I hate to say it but all I can think of is taking them to a laundromat so you can use a big machine but, after that, hand washing in a bath tub comes to mind.
Our local laundromat has a few washers/dryers that are specifically for large items. I've used them for an XL King thick comforter.
If they are machine washable and don't have a washer large enough, some laundromats have huge machines that should be able to handle them. I am lucky enough to be able to even do queen sized comforters in my washer, but some things I would rather do in the huge laundromat washers and dryers. Sometimes I take my comforters to the laundromat to dry because the huge dryers they have do a better job.
Bob/Pat are the curtains lined?
Are they made of a washable fabric? Don't know? You might be getting ready to ruin them but it they're really dirty then nothing lost.
Are you sure they are washable?? And if they are really large... you may want to have them professionally cleaned (or washed) they will have the facilities to wash and IRON them.... you will get them back ready to hang again... and since this only needs to be done once a year or so.... it may be worth it in the long run.
