I have bought beautiful faux stained glass film for windows. However it will not stay put. It keeps falling off the window. Any solution to this problem?
Use WD40 as a lubricant to keep the windows moving. You can also rub candle wax in the channels. The windows and channels dry out and swell due to dry weather and moisture in the air.
Bar soap !!
run any type of oil on the tracks
Rub a bar of soap in the side of the frame where the window slides up and down on both sides and as high up as you can, then put both windows down and do the same in the top half.
Wood windows you can use a bar of soap to rub on the tracks, or use a block of parafin wax or old candle. This works on old aluminum windows too, but first clean the tracks as they get really dirty/moldy.
