try hydrogen peroxide. treat and blot until gone.
if the blood hasn’t set too long? Use hydrogen peroxide and the blood will come right out
No matter how long, try the peroxide. You could also use oxy liquid on it for a shot, too.

Carbona stain devils had a formula especially for blood. I found it in my supermarket. Try a small spot first.
Peroxide and cold water on first damp rag then blot with dry rag.
I'd begin with cold water - then peroxide and cold water. Do not use hot water - it will "set" blood.
Thanks!
Oxy works great
Try using rubbing alcohol. I was surprised that it removed blood very well!
Hydrogen Peroxide will instantly dissolve it. Use only cold water to blot up … hot water will set blood permanently.
in nursing we always use peroxide, cold water for blood splatter. use alcohol for ink.
There are some good cleaners at the pet store. Peroxide must be cheaper though. I like the Natures Miracle brand.
In the olden days (!) hair spray would take ink stains from my scrubs.
Try a small amount of peroxide just a drop to test area. Rub in to carpet with corner of cloth. Then use clean damp cloth blot up excess. Peroxide on clothes will take out blood
In South Africa we have a cleaning aid ( Handy Andy ) it contains Ammonia it removes all blood stains. Let it soak into older stains for awhile then rub with finger or something that's not rough. Rinse or dab with cloth & water until running clear. Repeat if necessary. Rinsining is very important
