Wreaths are not hard to do. When I first started I looked at wreaths I saw for sale and found one I liked, then I bought the materials to make one similar. You can buy the grape vine wood ones or greenery fake or real. There are other bases as well, but one of these will get you started. I usually buy one of those, a large pretty bow of my choosing, and a fake bouquet like from the dollar store. I cut the fake bouquet with wire cutters and poke part of the blooms through the wreath in a group, and bend over the wire to hold them. Just a little color and a bow is all you need. Find the picture of one, or look at the ones on sale at the stores and find one you think you can imitate that you like. As you get experience you will learn to "imagine" and create one.
There are a great number of sites dedicated to making door wreaths; however, I found my wreath directions at http://www.allfreecrafts.com . I had by far the clearest explanation that I could find.
Easy, go to your local craft store, local nursery and dollar stores for ideas. Get a basic wreath and fill with your favorites ( bows, garland, pine cones...)! Every year I make one from twigs from my yard and add greenery and herbs. I bought a wire one and a gold twig one years ago and I change it up every year.
I'm not sure what kind you are wanting to make but I have made a few different ones -
