My carpets are infested with fleas I've tried everything and nothing seems to work.
Tea tree oil.. It is sold in pharmacy isle.. Near vitamins. It is essential oil. Can be mixed with soapy water in spray bottle. Google tea tree oil uses.
This happened just about yearly when I was in school. My mom got a prescription from the doc for a medicinal lice shampoo called Kwell or Qwell. I can't remember the spelling. You will have to shampoo every child and then comb their hear with a lice comb. Remove the kids from the home until you clean up the home. Strip all beds and wash all linen etc in hot water with Lysol for laundry. Small brown bottle. Vacuum all the furniture and the rugs very well. Shampooing the carpet would be better. The nits can live in the carpets and furniture. Finally, get some flea bombs from the veterinarian's office and bomb house. This may be over kill, but I don't like lice or fleas so I opt for doing a number on them.
Your doctor may be able to recommend a more efficient way to get rid of the little buggers by now there could be a super strain. Most oils will kill insects because they breath thru their skin but you may need more to kill the eggs.
When the children will be home, over a weekend like use oil on their heads and wrap their hair in a plastic bag . It's nontoxic and will smother the lice. weeke
Did you put all stuff animals into plastic bags for a few days? When my daughter was little, we had the same problems, could not get rid of them.
Maybe you are getting rid of the lice, but they are reinfecting themselves. Have you checked with the school? Do they have an infestation? Have you advised the children not to share any clothing or combs?
Lice do not like the smell of tee tree oil....make a relatively strong solution of tee tree oil and water in a spray bottle, stand the child in the bathtub and soak the hair with the solution....any adults should get out of the hair, leaving you to only deal with the nits....the commercial solutions should kill the nits and unfortunately you still need to comb the eggs out. Spray the kids, their bedding/toys/hats etc with a milder tee tree and water solution to keep any more adults out of their hair...even though you may have successfully dealt with the infestation, you should still spray the solution on the kids about once a week to keep them louse free...good luck, I dealt with several infestations with my girls and their long hair....itās not fun!
Yes, everything
ive put oil in their heads, also. These new little louse are so very hard to see when they are hatching. All at different times. One year old is not very cooperative. Three weeks of trying to solve this issue is exhausting.
have you had a chance to scrub the car and carseats? Friends were going through a similar hell because they hadn't thought to scrub the car and carseats.
