Try soaking them in hot water and Dawn dish soap with some peroxide in it... I have sometimes found that applying some Shout (gel) and working it in with a soft brush (like an old tooth brush) and then just let it sit for a day or two can remove some old set in stains.
Hot water and Dawn dish soap and peroxide... soak and then wash... don't dry until the stain is gone.... I have sometimes found that applying Shout (gel) and working it in with a soft brush, like an old tooth brush, and letting it set a day or two can help get the stains out.
Shout with brush scrubby in top works well for a re treat to wash.
I usually bleach them out by spraying with a 10% solution of bleach until it fades away. Then I wash with 1/2 cup of 20 Mule Team Laundry Borax.
try "super clean" in a blue bottle or 1/2 gal jug found at Menards or maybe Walmart! It's a engine cleaning type of blue liquid. It is wonderful stuff. It removed old oil stains off my husbands white jacket and greasy pants and jacket! Mixed with a bit of water , it will cut grease from cabinets stove tops etc. it will not take color out of clothing like hilex! Wonderful stuff...just wear gloves if you scub or rub anything with your hands.
Try a paste of an oxygenated cleaner like OxyClean or Awesome Orange. Let it sit and then wash with some of the same cleaner placed in the washer.
Ive had sucess with different booster and soil removers. My three favorite to try on a challenging stain are the oxi powders, borax and Soilove. I couldn’t find the soilove locally so I bought it on Amazon.
I try one of the above in separate wash cycles in addition to a regular detergent.
I pretreated the two shirts with shout and scrubbed the spots. Then I put them in the washer on stain remove with a quarter scoop of Oxi-clean and they all came out with the exception of a shadow of one of the stains kinda still there in one spot. I’m happy with the results.
