I live in Michigan when do I plant sunflowers plants?
Lower Michigan.
re-pot them in fresh soil, spray them down with horticultural oil, bring inside and place in a bight location, water when dry to the touch
either cut them down and store in a cool greenhouse away from frost, or you can take them inside as house plants till they are ready to go outside again..........
I cut them way back and store in my cool basement. I do not give water most of the winter and spring comes they start getting rapid grow in their water
You have to take cuttings of them, plant in potting soil and keep indoors for the winter....my uncle has had success with pulling the whole plant out of the garden, removing the soil from the roots and hanging upside down from the basement rafters over the winter, he then repots the plant in late spring, watering etc to put outside after last frost
I pull mine out of the ground before freeze and put in brown paper sack from grocery store. Staple top shut and place some place where they won’t freeze. Plant in early spring
[ I'd think it's a bit late! ]
I have my mom's who passed away 15 years ago. In the fall, I cut it back to almost nothing and bring it in the house thru the spring. I water it once a week and keep it by the window. Perfect
I did bring the geranium indoors in the Fall & the leaves are now drying out. I do water the plant weekly. Should I just cut down the dry leaves ?
Yes, I cut mine back several times through out the winter because it get's "leggy". They really don't like a lot of water so don't over do it. I usually don't get a bloom until the spring, bring it outdoors again after the frost is over and cut that baby back again. It will bloom again through out the summer than you can start all over again in the late fall.
Yes you could.
