hiw Do you adjust the bifold doors so they will stay in the track and also so the bifold on each door will stay flat when shut instead of popping open a bit?
Hey Karen, it may be because the wood has warped a little over time or the hinges were over tightened. They make little magnets you can add that snap the doors shut.
Could be the spring mechanism in the hinges has broken or failed. Also check to make sure all the screws are tight.
Sounds like they are not level.loosening screws on hinges will take care of that.
It doesn't take much to keep a door from closing all the way. Check to see if perhaps you have something that may be just a tad too far out in the cupboard. The closer you get to the hinges, the less forgiving the door is to closing.
Not knowing the construction leaves us guessing... it could be the hinges need adjusting.
Most hardware stores carry them, if you do a search in amazon for "magnet cabinet latch" that'll give you an idea of what they look like etc
