White goes with everything
I think you have enough other “light” colors and accessories that it would. Plus you already have one other white door so why not two?
If it looks odd change the colour of the door furniture to wood colour. Or why not add a wood trim to the door to join the look.........
Yes , I think it would be pretty and match the other door.
Yes, white Fench doors are classic so would go with everything.
I have white French doors, white woodwork and kitchen cabinets in my condo. My flooring is a medium/light color. I've had many compliments and it looks great. I realize everybody has an opinion. Go for it! It will look great!
I would paint the moudling white. That would pull the room together, or, do what johnavallance82 suggested, or Janets suggestion. The exisitig door looks like an add on or after thought. It needs to blend.
Personal opinion only----there is a "golden brown out" going on in that room setting, and the photo has a yellow cast to it so hard for me to focus on white doors and how they may look. I would add some color in there that incorporates white such as window treatments (curtains), a rug and pillows. The picture above that someone included is a good guide to what I'm referring to--
If the other door in the room is white, it look good to me. I can't tell what color the walls are because of the yellowish cast to the picture, but they look light, so the white should look good. My hardwood flooring is a medium light color and the woodwork is darker and it looks fine with the off white of the wall color and the doors.
I wouldn't do white unless you were going to have more white in the room, like painting the other woodwork to match. Also agree that the colors in the room are in the brown family. Maybe a light beige or a light gray-beige would look better. But you really do need to repeat that color elsewhere in the room. New chair, at least cushions in a lighter color maybe? A rug with lighter colors in front of that door would help too. New furniture (or paint on the wood furniture) would really help update the look.
I agree totally with Maryz129
I LOVE white. It goes with everything, later you can redo the color if you decide to but I only use white appliances in my kitchen and laundry rooms for that very reason. Clean looking, goes with everything. I hate those stainless steel ones so many love. Home we bought now came with those and I got rid of them for the white ones again. SO use what you want to. It looks good to YOU (and a lot of others) and don't worry about that matchy matchy hang up. I am sure you will be glad you did.
sure why not ? I'd add some more patterns with white around the room though..maybe new seat cushions? A chair throw?
I think its lovely.if at any time you feel its too much you can add splashes of color red for Christmas fourth of July.fall would bring burnished red yellow orange.throw in some of your faces.!I have a penchant for fall and blues can keep it low budget if you have a dollar store near you.good luck take care of yourself I wish you many years to decorate
I have blond colored maple floors. All my woodwork and doors are white.
Here is my thought. You live in your home. You are the one who needs to like what you choose. I personally think white will go with anything, and is a good choice. You can certainly include other pops of color to create interest with pillows, throw rugs etc. But do what you like, and what makes you happy. You are the one living here, not us.
White trim is the current rage these days, but what is styish today will be outdated tomorow If you like wood trim that matches your floor, don’t paint it. Your new white door will go fine with your floor.
Honey.... This IS your home. Do whatever you like. Besides... I personally believe french doors would look good even with plywood floors!!!!
Yes, the White would be perfect. It contrast and tones down the yellow. I just purchased a home with same color of floors, with beautiful five inch glossy white wood work and doors. Also added rugs to break up the yellow. I will be painting the cabinets white soon.
