Could be mint or lemon balm as previously suggested. Both edible. Pluck a leaf and smash it up and you will know. If mint it can be very invasive, so if you do not want it, pour boiling water on it. Or straight vinegar. I grow both and use for tea, sachets, garnishes, cooking and baking.
Looks like catnip
it's not mint?
I had originally thought that maybe it looked like some sort of catnip or mint, but I was afraid to touch it. It also seemed to resemble nettles and I remember touching it and being covered in VERY ichy bumps all over my skin! And I wasn't sure how it showed up as I don't know of any plants anywhere near.
Lemon Balm. I had the same plant growing in my garden, hard to get rid of but smells nice, supposed to be a good bug repellent.
Looks like mint.
if it gets white flowers it's strawberries! The birds may get them before you see them.
Look at a stem. Mints are sauare
Looks like dead nettle which is a ground cover. Also looks like mint...does it smell? If it is mint, I'd pull it out. Mint will travel all over the place!
Put on garden gloves and smash a leaf between your fingers- I think it could be some kind of mint or lemon balm- probably catnip ( nettle is in the same plant family so wear gloves)
OMG...its catnip. That's it. Just catnip. Its a weed that cats enjoy. Catnip.
