Check the net for companion planting...or a book called carrots love tomatoes. The idea is that one plant will use up certain neutriants and the other will replace them.
How much room are you going to have? Tomatoes like basil. Italian parsley. Oregano. Many varieties.
If you like thyme, there are several varieties, like a lemon thyme.
Basil is the first, it grows fast and large so you may not need any others. And it depends on your choice of tomaters 🍅!
