Toro, comes in small bottle or covered ant "traps" (better if small children, pets around). Place in ant's path. Usually takes care of them in a day or two.

Equal parts borax and sugar.....the sugar attracts the borax kills. Put it where you see the ant trail. Come spring I’ll put the around the foundation of my house .

I have used Terro Ant killer for years. They will come in like it is ant party for them. But then they take the poison back to their loved ones in their nest - killing them dead. Last year I also put out the outside enclosed units of Terro. I used both and it worked great.

Cornmeal is the only effective deterrent for ants. It kills them. Place on the mound outside or on the trail inside where you see them. We use Jiffy because it is sweet. They take it back to the nest and the colony dies. It is the only way to keep them out of the house using a safe method. An old timer told us about cornmeal. Hope this helps! It is safe for kids, pets, the environment, and best of all it WORKS. It is also inexpensive. Any cornmeal will work. Jiffy works faster because it is sweet.
