We removed asphalt and did concrete..may just be different individuals.
Asphalt is cheaper, but concrete lasts longer. Depends on your budget Stamped concrete would cost more because of the extra work of stamping the concrete.

Add in demolition and disposal of current driveway. Find out what current code is for your area. Add in prepping surface for new material. Concrete needs to be be pretty thick and mix depends on what part of the country you live in. In my experience, Home Advisor cost estimates are lacking in full scope of the actual project and are far lower than actual cost to consumer and are misleading, but I live in Southern California, where everything costs more.
We moved into our current home a year and a half ago. The driveway was in poor shape. We had it removed and a blacktop driveway installed. The new driveway cost us $2200. It's approx. a 6-car driveway. I hope this info helps you in some way. Best of luck.
