it will provide a visual barrie, not sure about sound though. Just be careful, I’ve heard bamboo is extremely invasive and will take over quickly.
Caution on bamboo it is invasive and not sound proof add a hedge row
ask your local gardener nursepry person. You want ast to maintain tall growing hegde
do not use the bamboo unless you plant it in large garbage cans with drainage holes.I made that mistake and it grows everywhere
Take it from someone who worked 3 years to rid my yard of 25' deep x 100' long area of bamboo. Once you plant it and it starts growing, it's a monster. Black starlings love to nest in bamboo and my deck and driveway was covered with poo, and it smelled terrible. Every time we had a storm we were out there cutting it down, and by the way ticks love it. If you want bamboo, just put some in a couple of pots and line them up.

Whatever you do don’t plant bamboo! It takes over your whole yard and can spread to your neighbors.
Lattice will provide some privacy.with air circulation. But you can also get a roll of bamboo to put up. Without planting it. Or hang a roman shade
It can be very good barrier, but you want to contain it as it can get away from you coming up everywhere. You might try containers to pot them and that way you can also move them around as needed.
please please only plant it in containers! The root system is deep and takes over everything in its path. Pipes sewers French drains.
