Is there some way I can color or cover my formica counters?

We have ugly, stained, salmon-colored formica counters in our kitchen and cannot afford new ones right now. Is there anything we can do to color or cover them in the meantime?

I myself have never used it, but a very popular product. Might be something to look into.
There is a product by Rust-Oleum to redo counters or I did put contact paper over a bath countertop when I was renting & caulked the edges it worked pretty good hope that helps š
