Oh my! You need help! Even I have trouble sometimes. Here is what I do: from the back of my car, I roll them out 1 bag at a time into my wheelbarrow. Take to location. Slit bag open, dump in area careful not to squash plants. Then rake to even out. I do have a gardener and have sometimes paid them to spread it out for me.

I agree its cumbersome. I find bags easier than the dump truck bulk delivered material.

I also have some groundcovers like vinca that stay green all winter— that dont require mulch. Im trying to establish pachysandra under some trees too.

I hear you! The older we get.. the more of a struggle. I do the same of rolling a bag from the car to the wheelbarrow and then open the bag and use a pail to sprinkle it about. I'm blessed to be able to bribe the neighborhood kids with cookies for helping.

I use a wagon, haul to beds. Put bags in bed spaced apart, and cut open bags. Spread with a adjustable shrub rake. Works pretty well
