Fix for Engineered Wood Floor?

Our contractor used blue painter's tape to cover a section of our Bruce engineered wood floor. When he took it up, it took off the top layer of coating on the wood. Any idea of how I can fix? The color is OK, looks like some type of poly covering?

Get Contractor back to replace damaged section.............If not try thin coat of Polyurethane clear varnish and build up till correct depth.
I agree it's the contractor's responsibility to get it right. Get him back and don't stand any nonsense from him you want it perfect so insist he puts it right!
I hope it works out. I do not understand why people by engineered wood.
