Don't, but if you do keep them, original hardware increases value immensely and are also sellable on their own.
I would not remove the original pulls on a piece of furniture.
These are very lovely cherry pieces. The drawer handles go with the style of the furniture. I would not change them.
There are some nice spray paints now for metal. I would remove them, clean them up and paint them. Use a clear spray sealer before reattaching them. The problem with removing the ones you have is that you will be able to see the outline of the hardware you currently have. Then, if you can't find something large enough to cover it, you will be thinking about refinishing them. It's amazing what some metallic paint can do.
