Paint of your choice of color. Put cup hooks in top for neckless, make a door & use wire in it for pins & earrings, hooks on bottoms of shelves for watches & etc. Shelves for little boxes for rings. Good luck.

Have fun!
Distress the trim and paint inside coordinating color with your room. I would put some frosted glass in the doors. You could even add LED lights on the inside.
Make the front a mirrored door.
You can buy black velvety jewelry displays and attach them. ( i.e. Michaels ) A place for rings, pockets for items that don't hang well, bracelet bars, hooks for necklaces , etc. a mirrored door on the inside so you can try on items without going to another area to see how they look would be a good idea. As for the outside I think you can either match the existing moldings or get creative making it unique. Have fun!
