The lime will help neutralize odors
Should have put down Porous Membrane instead.
Yes. a layer of limestone will compact the area, so should be great. Then the breathable membrane (don't forget to peg it down securely) and then the pebbles. Sorry if you took offence, none was intended. We are just wanting to help..............
The boys & I will be thankful for that!
Good to know. It already helped getting that plastic out of there. Can't wait to start on the rest.
yes, lime is a great idea, but please only use PEA GRAVEL...it's not only easy to clean up poop, but hoses off perfectly ! My entire backyard is pea gravel and I did not put ANY weed barrier down...it's been pea gravel for over 30 years ! With only 2 fill ins.
Thank you. Pea gravel is definitely what I'm looking at as its the perfect size for feet and what I'm looking to do.
I'm still going to put down a breathable weed barrier for this area. While talking with the locals about the lime, it's best to keep the rocks separate and for cleanup. I can still pick up poo & for it being such a small area occasionally do a natural treatment for smell. We did decide since they only poo half way down and never closer....we are going to put in a fake grass on that half for a foot wipe.
Yes the lime will help a lot! I used a "tumbled" pea gravel to take the sharp edges off so if it gets stuck in their paws it won't cut them. Good luck! Your dogs are beautiful and have great names!
