Can Christmas poinsettias be successfully planted to grow outdoors?
Live in Florida and want to plant Christmas poinsettias. Are Christmas potted poinsettias grown in a hothouse? What can I do to make them grow in the ground outside my house? Would love some poinsettia care tips.

they do good in pot s outside..not to sure about in the ground,,
Yes! I lived in several places where we had poinsettia shrubs - they turn into beautiful plants in the right conditions. I no longer have room on my property so I give all my holiday plants to a girlfriend. She is getting a beautiful Grove growing! Here are some great links for you.

My brother use to work for the largest wholesale plant companies in Florida and they did grow them in greenhouses. I have planted them in my yard and they grew just fine. Unless your yard is pure sand. Good luck with yours.
They will grow just fine in Fla. Go for it!
I've seen very large bushes of them in Sydney, Australia. They are beautiful if you like unmanaged spaces. They seem to be growing from a central area and then shoot out. I loved the red. Sure, they'd do well if you are moderately warm. These are planted in the ground.
They will grow in Nebraska with a little extra care!!! I set plastic pot and all in a flower bed that is on the south side of our driveway and garage. Calla lilies are around it and help provide shade in the summer. I don't clean the blower beds until spring so the leaves keep the ground warmer.
