This is a tried and true method. Slice jalapeno peppers both length-wise and in half. Put a piece into each run. They cannot tolerate the smell and will leave on their own.

Buy Tomcat mole killer worm bait at Lowe's. Follow directions.. Do not break worms in half, use whole worm in each tunnel. Follow directions. I paid a company $175 to do my yard and this is what they used. Treated one time and they were gone. Had many tunnels.

GO TO YOUR LOCAL SALON AND SALVAGE A BAG OF HAIR. I cut my own so I just save it. Cut it into manageable lengths about 1 1/2 inches. You do not want it really less than that because it with blow away. Push hand fulls of hair into the hole and refill with the dirt the mole pushed out. He will not want to be there because he doesn't want human hair on him. He will think you are in there with him. Hee hee. And he will bring the human smell back with him and this mate won't want to play with him anymore. When digging a new flowerbed, This is one additive I also include, because it also feeds the plants nitrogen as it decomposes and makes the leaves more lush. Add clumps of hair and whatever else your soil needs like sand and steer manure and mix with the dirt before planting. And it is preventative, before you have a problem with moles or gophers.

Not sure if it works but I've heard if you put a stick of chewing gum in the hole it will kill them.

  • If you or if you know anyone who has snakes, keep the skin when they shed and place a good long piece in each in hole. They won't be back. Tried and true!
