Hi Pat, You could make a very large frame, On the inside of the frame hang clip boards. As many that will fit. That way you could hang the kid's art work on the clip boards and change it out easily.
When we were kids, my dad made bulletin boards that he mounted to the back of our bedroom doors. That is where all our masterpieces were displayed. My mom kept a box for each of us. When we were grown and had houses of our own, she gave us the boxes. I have some high school photography projects as "art" in my garage. I have a little dish my brother made in a summer ceramics class in my kitchen. Can easily be replicated. WALLY world aka Walmart sells decent sized bulletin boards for around $8. Get one for each child, maybe paint their name on it. Can easily be painted or embellished and hung anywhere you see fit!
Use a piece of reclaimed wood, decorate with chalk pens ( abc’s, 123’s. Then glue miniature cloths pins spaced out to accommodate artwork.
Cover art work with clear contact paper, cut into the shape of a triangle and fold widest end over a piece of rope, gluing it down on the back side and hang on the wall.
I once saw a wall in a cafe where the owner had covered one wall with large cork tiles and had posted photos on this wall using pins and small bulldog clips. He basically made a huge pinboard. You could do a similar thing. Use a whole wall or a section of it and pin the pictures to it.
(you could even use a large piece of MDF and cover it with the same tiles and hang it up like a large poster board)
How about a large square/rectangle painted with chalkboard paint. Even if the chalk gets on the wall, it should be easy to clean.
Good luck!
