Roses can be quite hardy, I’ve had a mini that survived the winter, it was in a sheltered place.
From one of my hospital stays I was given a mini tea rose plant. I plopped it in the ground and has been there for several years and is happy as a clam. I have already had 3 blooms from it since January.
If its not dead, you did ok.
I have 5 of the teacup rose plants in my garden...they grow quite well with little attention! (This is in Reno, NV at 4,500', with all 4 seasons, currently covered in snow).
We are in W PA, & my neighbor has miniature roses all summer, & they come back. Feed & be sure they get enough light but not too much sun.. Hers are protected, & grow well, afternoon sun.
