How do I even start? I wasn’t to move across the state. How do I buy a home on a $135,000 budget that does not need a lot of work as I am 73?

  • Talk to a realtor...you want one that represents you as the buyer, not the seller.

Check sights like realtor.com and look at houses listed for sale in the area you are moving to. You'll get an idea of what's out there in the price you want to spend. Then find a real estate agent in that area. If you know anyone in the area you are moving to perhaps they can recommend someone. Good luck on your move and I hope you find a home that you love!

I see where you live but have no idea of the housing options. I would look for a condo or a small place, maybe not one that requires outside maintenance. Also I don't know if that is a lot or little money in your area. Good luck!

I sold my home and am thinking about moving into a 55+ apartment community. They have ones with gyms, cafeterias, different types of entertainment. At my age and health problems, I just don't want to deal with worrying about the maintenance and upkeep on a house especially on a limited budget. Just a thought.

Do you have any communities with modulal housing in a over 55 community?
