Oh my gosh! A lot of things can be done with vegetable cans! One of those openers that cut off the whole top helps with the sharp edge. The cans that do not have the lining in them can be used to make candle holders. The newer cans have a lining in them that is toxic when heated up. For the candleholders you cut out holes in the can to make shapes like stencils, And it makes a lovely candle holder and like design outside in the dark.
You can also attach cans together to build things like robots or even cover them in pottery or beads etc., and stack them in a way to make water flow from one to the other and make a cute little fountain.
You can use them to organize things like pencils, paint brushes, anything a can will hold. You can paint then, cover them in contact paper, or mosaics to make the decorative.
You can use different sizes to make things like snowman for Christmas decorations.
I hope I have helped to spark some ideas!
😊
I've seen cute candle holders. You freeze water in the cans and then punch designs through the sides with a hammer and nails/awls of different sizes. The ice keeps the cans from collapsing with all of the piercing, so fill a few and rotate them in/out of the freezer.
Support the can so it doesn't turn or jump away. Paint, if desired. Then punch holes using a hammer and nail. Votive holder!
A great craft project for classroom. Remove labels and use any paper to decorate to make a pencil holder. A fun personal gift.
