Hi Alex, any kind of paint would work fine. I usually opt for an oil based paint for higher traffic doors etc.
Rust-oleum paint should work just fine. Stays on the plastic chairs that I have done.

ESP is Easy surface preparation. then paint can be applied....Undercoat and then topcoat.
You would need to clean the door. Use a water based primer. Solvents in other primers can melt the vinyl. Two coats would work. then paint with your color choice. Use an exterior paint.
You can buy spray paint made especially for plastic, indoor and out door both, so this should fill your need. You will have to remove the door to paint it with the spray can, however.
Been there, milk paint, requires no surface sanding and gives great results.
