This plant is actually a fern of the genus Pteris, probably a cultivar of P. cretica. It is commonly know as the "bird's foot fern." Search for either of these terms and you will find a wealth of knowledge on the care of this ancient fern. It's been around since the dinosaurs! Good luck with it.
