Use a curtain rod with fixtures included, or a stainless steel rod and fixtures, or even cup hooks. Have 1 fixture/cuphook in the middle for supporting hand curtains. Make sure the curtains are long enough, they come in different lengths. I have heaps of ideas, let me know if you want more, or pictures. I have a curtain hung as a room divider.
Have you got room for wardrobes cups and rod, these can be fixed on top of lintel. You can thread on rings before putting the rod in the second cup.
How about a shower rod....they have tension ones and others that fit in cup like brackets? Also I have seen tension rods strong enough for a person to exercise on (chin ups)...maybe look into something like that.
They are closet rail finials they look like small rounded cup with a end that has screw holes in. Not sure what they are called. We used some to make a wardrobe in a recess.
