I've heard it might be tricky. Is it true? What is the best way to that? It's this year's plant. No flowers yet.
You didn't mention if they have bloomed at all or how long you have had them. Day lillies tend to take a year off and bloom every other year. First year they are trying to settle in. If you can you can dig around one just to see if there is healthy root growth and to check if any garden pest have been eating them. There are plenty of plant foods out there to satisfy daylillies.
How long have you had them?
They tend to takeover in no time. If this is your second season just wait.
Are they planted in a mostly sunny area?
Ok, so there’s two questions for you.
Gardeners always say "The first year they sleep, second year they creep, third year, they leap. Don't worry, they are very hardy.
how long have they been planted?
Are they too crowded. Are the bulbs planted correctly? The crown should only be about one inch below the soil and not too close to each other as they do spread like wildfire.
Day lilies need 6-8 hours of sun a day....
Give them time. It take perennials sometimes years to establish themselves.
