Do you mean Snap Peas?

Just plant them, it’s always exciting to see what comes up, then you can see the finished produce and fun preparing it. Or that’s what I would do.
The Pean is not some fancy new GM Hybrid, it's a very old legume brought to New Zealand by Dalmatian gardeners. It grows like a bean but has round white pea-shaped seeds in each pod. http://www.koanga.org.nz/gardens/product/bean-climbing-shellout-norridgewock-pean/

I have peans growing at the moment. They grow just like a runner bean. I love picking them and munching on them while still in the garden. You immediately get that pea taste follwed by a bean taste, I have not shelled them and used them like peas (yet) - but I pick them young, slice them (big slices) into half a dozen pieces and cook like a bean. They have no strings like runner beans do. And they are very vigorous growers. I will be keeping some seed for next year
