What CAN’t you do? I love it for creating scenes on a base with a globe covering. I glue trees, miniatire animals etc. and put mini lights in it. Good for gluing decorations onto wreath frames.
Look up 'hot glue crafts' on YouTube.com. There are plenty of ideas!
THOUSANDS of ideas are out there. I’m going to give you three.
1. Make a stacked tree out of pine cones, thread spools, or old egg beaters, and lots of hot glue. Then paint the tree, add ornaments (beads, buttons, cookie cutters, etc.) with hot glue. Add garland, tinsel, and a star if you want a Christmas tree. Give them as gifts or donate them to a church craft sale, or sell them if you want.
2. Make a wreath (grapevine, straw, styrofoam, etc.) by gluing fabric or ribbon around the wreath, holiday or seasonal materials, bells and whistles, etc., hot gluing every item with twice as much glue as you would think. If you use pins and wire, hot glue them to to give a surface for the next layer of decorations. Wreaths can be any shape you like, and certainly can be made from children’s umbrellas, parasols, beach buckets, and flip flops.
3. Glue seashells on anything and you have a beachy look: flip flops, picture frames, trays, vases, lamps, plaques, mirrors, shower curtain tie backs and hooks, a piece of wood. Use lots of hot glue and sparkle.
I’m sure you will get lots of cool answers for this question. Have fun! ☺️
I once saw a post that showed you could make slipper socks out of regular socks with hot glue. I never tried it but it sounds interesting. If you try it, please let me know how they came out. Good luck with your projects.
You can make jewelry using hot glue. For instance, you can create a pendant type design by outlining a circle of hot glue then criss-crossing with more hot glue, or create multiple circles and then join them so they are glued together then hang from a thin ribbon. You can make similar style ear rings using a smaller design and gluing ear ring backs on to the item. Also you can create bowls using hot glue with empty areas between the hot glue. Just google "hot glue projects" and there will be many more ideas so you can use up those hot glue sticks. You can even glue designs onto cardboard or wooden boxes, then paint and no one will know the design was made with hot glue. Have fun!
