Hostas, Astibile, coral bells.
Hostas they multiply also iris do well impatient do well but will not come back next year .
Hostas do great, mine hardly get any sun and some none and they do great. Anything that is good for shady areas should work without a problem, if you look, there really are a lot of them.
Hostas do well with little sun and there is a large variety of them from which to choose. There are varigated ones as well as a few that bloom. Check with your local nursery and look at the tags they put in each pot, it will tell you which ones need very little sunlight. Hope this helps.
Depending on your zone, you can sometimes grow plants that normally need more sun elsewhere. For example, I am in zone 8-9 and my impatiens and begonias do much better under my carport then on the patio in the sun.
Instead of a flower bed, why not put in a Rock bed. Put down some straw and add some large rocks, smaller rocks in groups, a bird bath and some of those colorful, decorative grasses. Your nursery should have several varieties.
