You can use them around your roses to keep them happy. Just cut the banana peels and crumble the shells. Work then into the soil around the base of the rose bush.
Both are great for the garden!

Compost for your garden! Eggshells are good to put around your cabbage for instance too to help keep slugs off your plants :)
Tomatoes love the extra calcium in the egg shells, when you plant them, mix some that have been crushed to dust in the soil, that will get the calcium in the soil quickest and you can mix in the crushed in the top layers throughout the growing season to continue giving more calcium. Egg shells are also great for deterring slugs and snail, they don't like to cross the sharp crushed shell.
potassium- banana peels and calcium- egg shells, crushed egg shells may deter slugs. I don't keep either in the house I'm allergic to them
Grind banana peels and feed them to your roses. They love the potassium. You can also feed them egg shells and coffee grounds. Plant egg shells in the hole when you plant tomato plants too. They need it to produce the fruit. They also love the coffee and tea grounds. If you want to simplify it all, grind banana peels, egg shells, and coffee grounds together with some water and pour it on your tomatoes, peppers, and roses.
I put crushed eggshells in my orchid pots.
