Yes you can,but if you getagood paint ith primer in it you can paint over wallpaper. I did it in my kitchen and 5 years laterstill looks brand new

Keep in mind, unless you are a full time RV'er, they are stored and subject to great temperature swings which affect the interior of the RV. Let us know if you have any more questions, or if we can be of further assistance.
What we did was to cover the panels with very thin mdf and paint. It looks like drywall, but much more stable. It does require primer, but the finish holds up so well and looks so nice.
One more thing, you can see bead board in the corner. That works very well also. I think it is much easier than stripping off wall board and papering. Message me if you have any questions.
