You can purchase new guinea impatients they have the same flower but a darker leaf they do well in the sun
I would say no, they are not heat tolerant.
Here is South Louisiana, even Sunpatiens don't make it in the summer if they're in full sun.
Oh, sorry but impatiens dont like sun or heat.
