Use a storage bin (without lid) as a ltter box. It's too high for the dog to steal the "kitty roka", yet the kitties will easily be able to jump in and out. PLUS no litter to clean up around the bin
I've always had luck sprinkling a little "Accent" Flavor Enhancer or MSG on the cat food which stops the dogs from doing their thing
My son has a hybrid cat and with four dogs, we had a problem with them all eating the poo. We put up a gate that has a cat door on the bottom and it solved the problem for all but our little ankle biter that can fit through the door. It also gives the cat a place to go when one of the dogs is being naughty and chasing the cat (the shepherd thinks it is real fun to chase the cat).
There is a tablet you can give the cat to make the poo less appealing to the dog. You can find it at Petco or Petsmart.
Put kitty's litter in a cabinet with a holes small enough for only kitty. or buy one of those kitty igloo litter boxes dog couldn't get into.
