What's the best flower/plant to grow in Texas?
I know that opinions vary, but what's your opinion?!I have great luck w Rosemary plants. Green all year long.
Can only refer to NJ and now NC-but there, ONLY right after blooming. Next year's flowers grow on THIS year's wood. Also, I never "trim". Go down to the root of the plant and look at what is there. When you see one stalk that looks old, and is larger than your thumb, cut it at base (you'll need a loper, not a small trimmer) Pull it out. You'll be amazed at how much of the plant is attached to it. Stand back and assess the plant before cutting another (old, thick) branch. Assess again. NEVER cut out more than one third the plant. If it is old and in bad shape, do one third this year, one third next year and so on. In three years you will have pretty much a new plant of the same size as now. Promise!
