How can I mow my lawn without a lawn mower?
I don't have a lawn mower or space to store one if I bought one. Are there any alternatives?

Rent one for a day
You can't! Unless you want to get down on your hands and knees with a scissors! I like the idea of renting one or hiring someone to do it for you.
With a traditional lawn it will have to be shortened in some manner. However, there are native grasses and mondo grasses that remain short. They look different from a traditional lawn, but hreass and stylish. A grass called fleur de lawn that has all sorts of low maintainence small flowers and a grass seed that needs mowing every few weeks is quite a fun alternative.
For or zero mowing and a real grass apperarance artificial turf will never need mowed. Or go with something else in place of the lawn like bark chips, quarter minus gravel and larger flower beds.

Weed eater
My last house was so small and I didn't have any outdoor type of storage. I had to rent a storage for my tools and stuff so I wasn't about to lug my mowers back and forth every week. I just used a weed eater. You could do your lawn with one easily, you just gotta get down the height of the grass, I held the handle at my hip and sort of like a pendulum just swung the weed eater back and forth. Keep your hands at the same spot nice and steady and your lawn will all be the same height. Just takes a lil practice
West Philly Toll Library does have a lawnmower on their list. Not sure what you need to do to borrow from them, but this might be a place to start. http://www.westphillytools.org

Last resort, hire a service. Where I live "mow and blow" services are a dime a dozen, you can basically name your price if you just need a mow once a week.
Electric weed whacker if its not to big a yard. You can pick them up second hand for about $20-$15. I've used a scythe to mow experimental test plots on my job. And I've used a grass whip to do areas unaccessible to mowers.... https://www.amazon.com/Companies-Inc-2942600-Temper-Hardwood/dp/B077G1TBR5/ref=asc_df_B077G1TBR5/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=241961172854&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=1863204583777183579&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9033057&hvtargid=pla-570233859802&psc=1
