rub some goo gone on the sticker to loosen it
WD 40 should get it off.
Not sure what kind of sticker you have but the ones I have used I use an old razor blade and goo gone if there is any glue left.
Try spraying the spot with WD40 and it should remove the sticker and the residue.
I usually peel it off then use either WD-40 or a tiny bit of Tea Tree Oil on a paper towel to quickly remove the sticky residue.
I peel it off each year and then clean the sticky residue away with a vinegar and water solution before I apply the new one.
After peeling it off, immediately wipe the sticky residue with a paper towel and WD-40 or a small amount of tea tree oil.
