What is the best way to drill holes in Rocks?

I'm working now on a Sculpture, that I've seen on Pinterest, I've tried to email the people, but they never answer, I want to do 2-Large Tall, Rock Statues, guess that's what you'd call them, My Question is, What is the best way to drill holes in your rocks, and what type of Drill Bit, should you buy, I went to Lowe's, they had 1, Carbide Diamond Drill bit, Menard had none, and neither did Farm & Fleet, all help and information would be appreciated, I also need to learn how to post photos of my accomplished projects, The Birdhouse Totem Poles (2) are done, the Disc Water (4) Tier Fountain is done, need to landscape around it yet, The Screened in Patio Port, is almost finished. Need to do the Seal Strips around the doors, put the Ceiling Fan in, and the rope lighting, will get this done on Tuesday,

then clean and add the furniture, I'm getting tired. But want to get started on the Next Project. Thank You
