Southern Traditions: Why Did My Grandmas Sweep Their Yards?
My question as I watched these grandparents was always, "Why are you sweeping your yards, and why is there no grass around your house?" We have grass around ours.
Pressure wash, Dawn dish soap, vinegar and a stiff bristle long handled broom.
Power wash them.
I agree ...pressure washing. Try it first without added ingredients. If it's green, that means it should be alive and soft algae. Should come off easily. If you don't have one, maybe a neighbor or relative may have one. Good luck!
Spray some Super Clean on them, let it sit for a few minutes, you will be able to tell when it's ready to rinse off. You can buy this at Walmart or any auto parts store. This stuff is great. It cleans paint and oil off my asphalt driveway.
We tried all kinds of things for years, and they never came fully clean. We bought a cheap pressure washer and almost 20 years of crud came off, with no chemicals.
You can use Wet n Forget, I have used 10% bleach and water solution where there are no plants to be affected, you could also probably use horticultural vinegar that is 20% strength.
