Are you asking how to expand your current deck or how to organize the one that you have? Why not make a space off of your deck for seating? Pavers, gravel, a fire pit, some cinder block benches and a table would enlarge your entertainment area.
Did you want to DIY or hire out? Just design a larger deck. For best results, dismantle tour current deck and start over. At least you have some of the footings in to get you started.

You can lay pavers next to it, if there's a spot and use that area for table and chairs or grill.
Your deck should only be for seating and maybe some small stands/tables. The other things you mentioned: plants, pool, grill can be accommodated else where, even if it means making a patio or so for those things.
Add on to the deck put plants hanging off deck rails
Put the pool away when not in use. Maybe hang it along the side of the deck if there is a railing. That creates more space. Then put the grill and plants on the deck but the seating can go at the edge of the pond.
Great ideas here. Pool has been tossed (plastic blow up) house plants have to stay (4-8 foot tall) Deck is about 9 feet above ground. Guess we will just make do. Too darn expensive to redo and we can't cantilever it. Thank you all for the great suggestions!
