You can get a trap from animal control unit. It may be county based or city based, most want a deposit, you get that back on return of trap. Wear thick heavy leather gloves when the coon needs relocated. Some wild animals can have the dumb form of rabies. That is, they carry the rabies...but show no symptoms of having it. Occasionally, a trappers liences is needed.
Make a few calls see see what’s needed for your area.

How to stop raccoons from climbing onto my deck
Make sure you don't have something out there that he wants..like food or water. If you have anything that collects water, you have become a safe source for him. If you leave containers that have food-or used to have food-in them, he's after that. He thinks the plants have something in them. Are you putting eggshells in the plant soil? He smells that, he's after the eggs. Try clearing off the deck completely for a few nights, then gradually put out one or two things at a time. That can also tell you what it is he's after.
We have learned to live with them! As noted above, keep anything they could eat locked up in a shed/garage or your house! We finally put rocks in the bottom of large pots on the deck and they are harder to knock over! Aren't they cute??
Good luck ♥ We've had raccoon visitors during the night in my back yard several times over the years. They would catch the koi in my pond. Now it would be different if they would eat them, but they would just play with them and leave them all over the yard. I've tried animal control in our area, they said they wouldn't help us, but to get a Havahart trap, then release them at least 100 miles away because they travel that and more. An exterminator was way too expensive. Had a trap, tried, could never catch them...tried sardines, marshmallows, tuna, canned cat food and more. I devoured the web for info on how to get them to go. Tried criss crossing fishing line throughout the back yard, raccoons didn't mind it, the dogs hated it. Lit the backyard up like a runway – didn't phase them, Human hair, human urine, could have cared less about either, Tried "The Scarecrow" motion detector that hooks to the hose and sprays when it senses motion. Raccoons loved it,Dogs were scared of it and refused to go out during the day even when it was off. Tried coyote urine, didn't phase the coons one bit. Tried little red flashing lights around the perimeter of the yard, raccoons didn't notice them. Summer came and they stopped coming. We had no birdseed out for the wild birds, no dog food out, nothing. They came back the following winter and brought friends. Tried everything again to no avail. Got up one morning and they were still here! They were usually gone by then. One of my dogs slipped....pushed by me as I was trying to shoo them away. She was a Great Dane....they took her down. Now I love all animals, but don't come to my place and mess with mine. My sons stayed up the following night, shot 2 of them. They haven't been back since. It was horrid, the screams my poor dog let out as they were biting her. Please be careful. I wouldn't attempt to even catch it, You have to pick up that wire cage after all!. They are fierce and will bite. Be careful please.
I also faced a similar problem. Raccoons began to come to my mini garden and pull out flowers, break pots, trample everything. This made me really angry because I love my garden and spend a lot of time there. The thing that annoyed me the most was that they turned all my work into dust. Well, I tried my own methods to get rid of them: I set traps, a scarecrow, but nothing helped. They kept coming back and getting more aggressive. Then I decided to invite professionals to remove raccoons because I was tired of it. As it turned out later, this was a great solution.
Hi! Can you bring your plants in at night? They can be very destructive and I wouldn't want to try to trap or handle one myself. There is always risks with pests like this. I don't put garbage outside for example until the evening before pickup. Make the area as inhospitable as possible including lighting and anything else that is motion sensitive. Reach out to your local animal control or fish and game commission for advice. Good luck!
