strip your whole garden of about 6 to 8 inches of topsoil, remove every single Bamboo root, even as small as 1 inch long, replace with new top soil and seed your garden. Dig a 3 foot deep trench , line the trench with a THIK plastic liner special designed for this, plant the bamboo in the trench, make sure the plastic is 3 inches above the soil of the trench. Fir roots that you missed, cut the bamboo and spay in the hole Roundup, you have 6 seconds to get the soapy in the bamboo ,
I have a 500 sq meter garden and today we are bamboo free, except for what is contained in the trench.
Hello there, the funny thing. My husband and I are working on getting rid of bamboo. What he's doing is cutting it down as close to the ground as he can. than he's going to pass the lawn moreover it. We sprayed vinegar and water 1st, let it dried out. So far it's working. Can't hurt to try it, but it is tiresome and a lot of work. Good luck and drink lots and lots of water.
I’ll try the cutting down part. I used vinegar, water, epsom salt and dishwashing liquid on a small area. I’ll check today to see what’s happening. Thanks so much for the tip.
