This is an old fashion remedy and it appeared to work for my old neighbor. He adopted a pup from a local Humane Society and she had fleas really bad. I had read about using this product and went over to his house and put in a cheese shaker and spread it all over the carpet and used a broom to brush it into the pile. It did work because Diatomaceous Earth works by taking all the moisture out of the fleas and they die. Give it a try, the price is low and it is not poisonous I don't think. It's been a long time so not totally sure. Rick Allen
