What do I use on my garden for fertilizer?

I was into farming for a number of years in my life,but I can't remember which fert to put on the plants I have coming up in my garden. I have read about "Ammonia",but there are pros and cons about using it. SO,what do I use? What do you recommend. I want something that will help the plants,not kill them. Please send response quickly as some of my seeds I've planted are already coming up. Gene

new seeds should not be fertilize until completely grown.what specific plants are you referring to?
I always use Miracle Grow on my garden.
totally depends on the kinds of plants, and your soil --- please get a soil test done first by your local Agricultural Agent -- more harm is done to plants/lawns/trees and the soil itself by doing too much rather than nothing!
