If If you go to our Search box above any type Removing Wallpaper you’ll find practical advice and sympathy.
If it were me, I would strip the wallpaper off, and patch the walls, for any holes or whatever, sand and then paint a nice light beige, or grey, or just a cream color so that when renters move in they can use their current curtains, rugs, etc and not have to change out to match the wallpaper.. Wallpaper is becoming very trendy now, but not as in small roses... here is a link via Wayfair, lots of choices..I think they are mainly usiing one wall to put the trendy paper on, and painting the rest...but again you may want to just paint. https://www.wayfair.com/decor-pillows/sb0/wallpaper-c1861000.html

LOL, a bordello, that's funny. Can you remove the paper? Otherwise you might have to prime it, then paint or install bead board or something similar on top of it.
Take the wallpaper down and paint.
Use neutral colors for paint.
Remove the wallpaper. Patch any damage. Prime and paint. I hate wallpaper. Put up and took down too much in my day.
