I do not like the way the walls look but don't want to have to replace walls or just paint over them. O thought about using plaster on the walls and do texture art on... See more

I have water and sewer pipes and electric outlet in back of my washer and dryer. How do I disguise the mess?
Need more info. What's your budget? Where is it? If it's in the basement, is it feasible to move it into a closet on the main floor or near the bedrooms? If it's in the basement, do you have cinderblock walls? Are the ceilings open? You can build walls and a door around it to differentiate it from the rest of the basement. You can have a drop ceiling put in for aesthetics. Ours has a window and cinderblocks and is next to the crawl space, so it looks ugly! The best I could do is put a nice rug in front of the washer and dryer and a fun sign on the door. Also removed clutter from the top of the washer and dryer. They're on pedestals so I can't fold clothes on top of them.
We turned an extra bedroom into a laundryroom and the hardest was putting pipes in for the washer so assuming you are using the same room it will be easy. Decide what you need such as a folding space and see where it can go. We decided to put our stackable washer/dryer side by side so we could put wood over the tops of them for folding. We also added a shelving unit to hold detergeant, dryer sheets, etc. Very important to me was a space to hold and seperate dirty laundry so my husband built a bench with space underneath to roll out the divided laundry bins. You probably also want to hang clothes so hang a rod in there. Space for a fold out drying rack is also good- we found one that folds up against the wall or pulls out and I use it for drying leggings and bras.
Light blue paint and white trim really brightened mine up! I also put in recessed lighting with LED bulbs. I haven’t done the floor yet. Just get started with paint and see if that does it for you, too!
